  • ½ teaspoon chili powder

  • ¼ cup dry red apple vinegar (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 small yellow onion (diced)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 beef bouillon cube
  • 1 ½ teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ¼ teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 3 tablespoons corn starch + ¼ cup cold water

Instructions

  1. Season the cubed sirloin with spices and flour.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the meat in batches, then transfer to a plate.
  3. Deglaze the pan with apple vinegar, then cook onions and garlic until softened.
  4. Add beef broth, bouillon cube, and Worcestershire sauce; bring to a boil.
  5. Whisk in cornstarch mixture until desired thickness is achieved.
  6. Return beef to the pan; cover partially and simmer for 10–15 minutes until cooked through.
  7. Optional: Stir in cold butter for a velvety finish before serving.
