  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (for swirl)
  • ¼ cup light brown sugar (for swirl)
  • 1½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt (for swirl)
  • 2 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 34 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 12 tablespoons milk
  • Couple drops vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line an 8×8 square pan with foil and spray with non-stick spray.
  2. In a bowl, whisk melted butter and brown sugar until smooth. Add egg and vanilla; mix well. Sprinkle flour, baking powder, and salt over the mixture; stir until combined. Spread batter into the prepared pan.
  3. For the cinnamon swirl, melt butter and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until smooth. Stir in cinnamon and salt. Dollop over blondie batter and gently swirl with a knife.
  4. Bake for 21-24 minutes until puffed and edges are lightly browned. Let cool completely on a wire rack.
  5. For cream cheese icing, blend cream cheese until smooth, then add powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla; mix until desired consistency is reached. Drizzle over cooled blondies.
