  • 1 lb top sirloin steak
  • Salt and pepper to season
  • 2 cups thinly sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup sliced red onion
  • 1 red bell pepper, julienned
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 green bell peppers, halved and seeded
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange green bell pepper halves in a baking dish, cut side up.
  2. Season the top sirloin with salt and pepper. Heat a skillet over high heat and sear the steak for about 2-3 minutes on each side until browned. Set aside to rest.
  3. In the same skillet, add cooking spray and sauté mushrooms until browned (3-4 minutes). Add red onion and red bell pepper; cook until tender (2-3 minutes).
  4. Thinly slice the rested steak and combine with sautéed vegetables in a bowl. Stir in mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, black pepper, and mozzarella cheese.
  5. Stuff each green bell pepper half with the steak mixture. Bake for 30 minutes.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
