  • 1½ cups granulated white sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp red liquid food coloring
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup cake flour
  • 1¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups crushed Oreo cookies (cream removed)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 410°F.
  2. In a stand mixer, beat the cubed cold butter and sugar on low for 1 minute, then on high for another minute.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
  4. Mix in red food coloring and cocoa powder on low until combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together cake flour, all-purpose flour, baking soda, cornstarch, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients until fully combined. Refrigerate uncovered for 20 minutes.
  7. Roll about 3.5 oz of dough into balls and coat with crushed Oreos.
  8. Place dough balls on a parchment-lined baking tray, about 3 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 10-11 minutes. Cool before serving.
