Turkey Bacon Fried Rice is a delightful twist on traditional fried rice, combining the smoky goodness of crispy turkey bacon with fluffy rice, fresh vegetables, and savory sauces. This dish is not only quick to prepare but also versatile, allowing you to customize it with your favorite ingredients.

  • 6 slices thick-cut Turkey Bacon, chopped
  • 1/2 large onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
  • 4 cups cooked and cooled long-grain rice (preferably day-old)
  • 3 large eggs, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a cold skillet, add chopped turkey bacon and turn the heat to medium. Cook until crispy, then remove the bacon and set aside while reserving the fat.
  2. Sauté the diced onion in the reserved bacon fat for 3-5 minutes until translucent.
  3. Add minced garlic and frozen peas and carrots; cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until tender.
  4. Stir in chilled rice and cook for 2-4 minutes. Push the rice mixture to one side of the pan.
  5. Scramble the beaten eggs in the empty side of the pan until fully cooked, then mix with the rice and veggies.
  6. Increase heat to high; add soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and cooked turkey bacon. Stir well.
  7. Season with salt and pepper; garnish with chopped green onions before serving hot.
