  • 1 baguette or ciabatta bread
  • 1/2 cup cashews (soaked for at least 4 hours)
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp herbes de Provence
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp plant-based milk (of choice)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a blender, combine soaked cashews, nutritional yeast, olive oil, minced garlic, onion powder, salt, black pepper, herbes de Provence, lemon juice, and plant-based milk. Blend until creamy and smooth.
  3. Slice the baguette or ciabatta in half lengthwise.
  4. Generously spread the vegan cheese mixture over both halves of the bread.
  5. Place on a baking sheet and bake for about 10 to 15 minutes until golden and crispy.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm.
