  • 1 loaf Cuban bread (or soft baguette)
  • 1 cup marinated grilled jackfruit
  • 4 slices vegan chicken ham
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1/2 cup vegan cheese (mozzarella-style)
  • 1/4 cup dill pickles, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 2 tablespoons coconut water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh cilantro or parsley (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet or panini press over medium heat.
  2. Slice the Cuban bread in half lengthwise and spread mustard on both sides.
  3. Layer the bottom half with grilled jackfruit, followed by vegan chicken ham, turkey bacon, and vegan cheese.
  4. Top with sliced dill pickles and place the top half of the bread on the sandwich.
  5. Brush the outside of the sandwich with olive oil.
  6. Cook in the skillet or panini press for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cheese melts.
  7. Let cool for a minute before slicing. Serve warm with fresh cilantro or parsley if desired.
